Natural Sciences and Mathematics Living Learning Community

  • The Natural Sciences and Mathematics Living Learning Community (LLC) is located in Northern Suites, which is conveniently located next to Weyandt Hall.

    This LLC enables students majoring in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geoscience, Mathematics, Physics, Preprofessional Natural Sciences programs, and Psychology to interact with others with similar majors and interests and to link their knowledge from coursework to life experiences outside of the classroom. Students are encouraged to collaborate to form study groups, develop mentoring relationships, attend available tutoring, and discuss current events as they affect scientific and mathematic discoveries, ethics, and the environment.

    LLC Highlights

    • College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics works closely with Northern Suites staff to provide services, communication, and programs to all residents of Northern and students around campus who are in and interested in the services of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
    • Northern Suites staff work directly with student organizations in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics to enhance the programs that are being done and to update and strengthen the resources provided to students in the college.
    • Northern Suites is home to several fossil replicas that are displayed throughout the community for students to engage with.

    • Mathematics, Computer Science, and Psychology Cluster.
    • Women in Math, Science, and Technology Cluster: provides a supportive and engaging environment for women pursuing a career in a math, science, or technology-related field.
    • Natural Science Cluster.
    • Safety Science Cluster: offers members of this living-learning community an opportunity to participate in out-of-classroom programs and activities pertaining to that major.
