Fall 2011 Essay Topic:
How have you been transformed by your own community service?
Requirements:
- Essay authors must be high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors
- Essays must be nominated by a high school
- The essay contest form must accompany each entry
- Essays are limited to five hundred words. They should be single-spaced in 12-point type with one-inch margins. The student's full name should appear on the top right of each page.
Deadline:
Essay submissions and cover sheets must be postmarked by Saturday, November 5.
Awards:
First Prize: $1,000
Second Prize: $500
Ten honorable mentions: $50 each
Winners will be notified by December 15, 2011, and announced to the national and local media.
