The Assistant Director supports the Director in providing leadership to fulfill the multi-faceted mission of the Honors Program, where classroom experiences are used as a launching pad for involvement in the other avenues of Honors including undergraduate research, international travel experiences, varied cultural opportunities, selected collegiums, beneficial community service projects, key instruction for internationally competitive scholarships and interaction with top faculty.

Participates in honors staff activities: staff meeting, information sessions, recruitment, evaluation & visioning, and assessment. Oversees the Pamplin Leader/Scholar program. Works with the wider university community through committees and other means. Ensures compliance with university policies and federal and state laws.
