Steven P. Schroeder (PhD University of Pittsburgh) is an assistant professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is currently teaching topics in ancient, medieval, and military history.
His ongoing research is on the life and times of USMC General A. A. Vandergrift, a seminal figure in the institutional history of the modern American military. He has also taught courses on the history of the American war film and taught a course in spring 2012 on the fall of the Roman Republic that was integrated with the HBO series Rome.
