Wayne Bodle (Ph.D. University of Pennsylvania 1987) is a specialist on early America, particularly colonial Pennsylvania and the middle colonies.
His book, The Valley Forge Winter: Civilians and Soldiers in War, was published by Penn State University Press in 2002. He has completed another manuscript, The Fabricated Region: Making the Middle Colonies of British North America which is under review by the University of Pennsylvania Press.
His current research is on the American career of Charles Wollstonecraft—the youngest brother of English feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft—his two wives, and one of his daughters, from 1792 until 1817.
