About Health AWAREness

Loading...

The Health AWAREness* Office is a great campus resource for information regarding healthy living and health issues concerning college students. The student and professional staff are prepared to help students in need of health information. We provide educational programs to university groups, sponsor campuswide health education activities, and serve as a resource for health information.

Whether a community assistant is looking for information for a bulletin board or a student is looking for information for a research paper, we can help. The lending library, located in the main entry of the Center for Health and Well-Being, has books, teaching materials, and DVDs that can be useful. We have hundreds of pamphlets on a variety of issues that are free to the university community.

If you need to talk with someone about a health issue, you can schedule to meet with a professional health educator. We will provide you with information, answer your questions, and help you find local resources to meet your health needs. Sessions with the professional health educator are at no additional cost.

We know that sometimes talking about health issues can be difficult. You can talk with us.

At the heart of Health AWAREness is its team of Peer Educators. Through programs, informational tables, and media campaigns, the AWARE Peer Educators help raise awareness about issues concerning healthy lifestyles. These issues range from sexual health to body image to stress management and even study tips for final exams.

Come stop in and see what we are all about!
