The thesis/dissertation is a part of an academic tradition that provides many rewarding opportunities to be creative and innovative. It is a public document that carries your name and IUP’s into the world.

Your thesis or dissertation is representative of your ability to conduct original research in your chosen field. As such, future employers may review your thesis or dissertation to make hiring or tenure decisions. For this reason, the School of Graduate Studies and Research and the graduate faculty have established format standards in order to produce a publication of the highest quality.
