To Apply for a Graduate Assistantship

As of February 2016, newly admitted students communicate their interest in earning a graduate assistantship award through their admissions application. Students admitted prior to February 2016 should communicate their interests directly to their program coordinator.

Some graduate programs utilize a program-specific graduate assistantship application process. Please communicate graduate assistantship inquiries to the program coordinator.

The School of Graduate Studies and Research does not distribute paper or electronic student applications for graduate assistantships. For questions related to the admissions application, please contact Graduate Admissions at 724-357-2222.

There are award options for full-time and part-time students; all awards offer a stipend plus tuition dollars. Please contact the program coordinator for awards offered through your graduate program.

If you are applying to a graduate program and you are interested in a graduate assistantship, there is a required field on the application for admission to indicate your interest. If you are a current graduate student and you are interested in a graduate assistantship, please contact your program coordinator.
