Eric Meljac had a presentation titled “Charlie Chaplin and Tenderness: A Barthesian Reading of Chaplin’s City Lights” in the Graduate Scholars Forum, April 6, in Sutton Hall’s Blue Room.

April 3, 2013

The Graduate Scholars Forum provides graduate students an opportunity to showcase their original scholarship.

Here is the Graduate Scholars 2013 Program, which lists all student presentations, and here is the list of 2013 Award Winners.

Forum participation is designed to foster scholarship and collegiality among graduate students and faculty, and to provide a forum for graduate students to discuss their academic work with a community of scholars.

Students currently enrolled in any graduate program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania or who completed a graduate degree in December 2012 are eligible to submit a proposal to present recently completed or ongoing research or creative works. All submissions must include the name and e-mail address of a faculty sponsor who will attest to the quality of the work. Please note that research done in collaboration with faculty or practicing professionals is eligible for submission as long as the student has played a substantial role in the research.

Awards

First and second place prizes will be awarded for each college.
