Office of Government Relations

The purpose of the Office of Government Relations is to foster communication between Indiana University of Pennsylvania and state government officials. In addition, a variety of informational resources are available through this office to IUP constituent groups and legislative offices.

Each year the Pennsylvania legislature, along with the governor, provides state funding to IUP and the State System of Higher Education. As an alumnus or alumna, you can help us to secure an appropriate and reasonable allocation by letting  your local legislators know how important your education has been to you and your family. Help us spread the word that IUP alumni are more than sixty-thousand strong in Pennsylvania and continually have a positive impact on the commonwealth. A simple letter, phone call, or e-mail can help!

  • Letters regarding your education from IUP can make a difference.
  • A phone call to your legislator makes an immediate impact.
  • Tell a friend.
  • Take action.
