Geoscience Student O’Hara Presents at International Meeting

Dan O’Hara, a double major in Geoscience and Computer Science, presented a talk at the fall 2011 meeting of the American Geophysical Union on research he’s conducting with Professor Jon Lewis on offshore earthquakes.

Poage Returns for Seventh Field Season in Antarctic Dry Valleys

Dr. Michael Poage, Department of Geoscience, is returning for his seventh field season in Antarctica over the semester break, working with the National Science Foundation’s McMurdo Dry Valleys Long-Term Ecological Research Program.

Geoscience Students to Copresent Workshop on Scientific Visualization

Geoscience students Ellen Lamont (’12) and Dan O'Hara (’14) will present, alongside Dr. Rick Adkins (Mathematics), a hands-on workshop covering the basics of software used to create scientific graphics and research posters suitable for conference presentation.
