Three tracks provide specialties for you to become a professional geographer: the GIS/Cartographer Track, the Environmental Geographer Track, and the Economic Geographer Track. In addition, the General Geographer Track is available for the undecided major.
The Land Use Planning and GIS Track and the Environmental Planner Track offer fields of study for becoming a professional planner.
The B.S. in Education/Social Studies Education/Geography Track offers field of study for becoming a social studies teacher in geography.
Two degree programs are offered: the Master of Science (M.S.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Geography.
The department also offers a Certificate in GIS and Geospatial Techniques.
