Associate Professor, Art Education
Dr. Marjorie A. Mambo has over thirty years teaching experience in Kenya and the United States at the elementary, secondary, and university levels. Her areas of interest are children’s art, interdisciplinary curricula, and African art.
At present, her research has focused on creative puppetry for children with autistic spectrum disorders. This broad background has enabled Dr. Mambo to co-publish a set of art textbooks for grades 7-8 in Kenya and several articles on integrating art with other school disciplines. She has received three teaching awards; has presented twenty-five papers at international, national, and state conferences; and received five grants.
