On Thursday, July 21, 2011, students, faculty, and staff involved in the Punxsutawney Summer Opportunity Program held their classes at Yellow Creek State Park. Art and English activities including poetry writing and collage making, inspired by the natural beauty of the water and woods environment.
Following a delicious cookout provided by Aramark, with lots of help from volunteers, students proceeded to enjoy the afternoon fishing, swimming, party boat riding, and playing volleyball.
The hottest day of the summer was quite a successful adventure!
