Female student standing holding a bookUndergraduates may choose from two Spanish majors, a minor, and an honors track offered in Spanish. Many IUP students choose to double major in Spanish in order to enhance their job prospects in fields of business, criminology, social services, and tourism.

B.A. in Spanish
Students following the B.A. in Spanish program will acquire proficiency in all phases of the language and enter more deeply into the history, culture, and literature of Spanish-speaking countries.
B.S.Ed. in Spanish Education K-12
The B.S.Ed. in Spanish Education K-12 Program prepares students to teach Spanish in the secondary classroom or in Foreign Language in the Elementary School programs.
Spanish Honors Program
The honors program is open by departmental permission to Spanish and Secondary Spanish Education majors with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and a 3.25 GPA in Spanish courses. 
Minor in Spanish
The Spanish minor consists of a 22-credit course of study covering intermediate Spanish language, Hispanic literature, and Spanish culture.
