Located in Clark Hall, the Financial Aid Office offers financial information and counseling to all students attending IUP. The types of financial assistance offered include student employment, eduational loans, grants, and scholarships. Counseling on debt management and loan repayment options is also available.

How does IUP determine satisfactory academic progress?
Responsible for:
- Accurately completing and submitting the appropriate application forms by the published deadline dates (errors can delay or prevent your receiving aid).
- Using financial aid funds for educational purposes (books, off-campus housing, etc.) only.
- Submitting requested materials, corrections, or new information on a timely basis.
- Meeting the regulations and repayment schedules of student loans.
- Informing the Financial Aid Office at IUP of any grants, scholarships, or loans received from outside organizations.
- Informing the Financial Aid Office at IUP of any information that has changed since you applied for aid (address or attendance status).
- Understanding the satisfactory academic progress requirements for maintaining financial aid eligibility.
An academic year at IUP is composed of a minimum of thirty weeks of instruction in which a full-time student enrolls for at least 24 credit hours or 950 clock hours. These standards are used in determining eligibility for federal student aid and for loan pro-ration.
