  • FOCUS-2: FOCUS-2 is a self-paced, online career and education planning tool for use by college students. It will enable you to self-assess your career relevant personal qualities and explore career fields and major areas of study that are most compatible with your assessment results. Students who use FOCUS make better decisions about their goals and plans and learn how to self-manage their careers.     Interest Inventories: The center currently uses the MBTI and the Strong Interest Inventory, which measure your interests as they relate to possible occupations for you.

    Career Counselors: Professional and paraprofessional staff trained in career exploration will help you decide a major through consultation.

    Resource Library: The center has books, occupational briefs, and handouts on numerous professions that give insight on careers in most occupations.

    DVST 170 Career Exploration Introduces students to the theoretical and practical framework with which to explore careers compatible with overall academic skills, aptitudes, and life goals. Students will examine the world of work, assess their interests and abilities, and make realistic decisions on academic majors and careers.
