Chinese New Year Celebration

The Chinese Student Association will be hosting a party in celebration of the Chinese New Year (Monkey “猴 Hóu”) on Friday, February 5 at 5:00 p.m. in the HUB Ohio Room.


The Chinese New Year is the most important and widely celebrated festival of all in China. This is a time for family reunions, visiting relatives and friends and exchanging greetings for the coming New Year. It is also a time to ring out the old and ring in the new. We would like to invite you and your family to celebrate, learn, and join with us!

P.O.I.Z Modeling Group's Auditions, February 6

We are looking for models (males and females), makeup artists, and  videograpghers for this semester's upcoming events. Models must wear athletic attire ( females: heels must be 5 inches or higher) (males: no boots) and they do not need any previous experience. Black Girl Magic

This upcoming event is titled "Black Girl Magic". This presentation is dedicated to educating as well as entertaining all in attendance about the powerful things that black women have done and are destined to do in the future. This presentation will also involve open discussions as well as a panel of students and teachers selected to begin a larger discussion.

We plan to shine light on the beauty and magnificence of black women and will address society's assumptions of them.

Chemistry majors will be there to answer any questions whether it be for your chemistry lecture or lab. 

Religious Studies Club and CSCR Meeting

The Religious Studies Club and the Committee for the Study of Culture and Religion (CSCR) will be having a meeting on Monday February 8th at 7 on the 5th floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences building. Chemistry majors will be there to answer any questions whether it be for your chemistry lecture or lab.

Executive Leaders Series

The Executive Leaders Series is a leadership development program for new or aspiring student executive board members at IUP. 

It is intentionally designed to help you develop greater leadership competence to facilitate positive change at IUP and the Indiana community.  Through intentional sessions, you will develop a greater understanding of individual, group, and community values in which you can apply in and beyond the classroom and in your professional life.

Laughter Yoga – 10 to 15 minutes

Secular Student Alliance of IUP Meeting

SSA is a Student organization that is dedicated to giving students who don't identify with a religion a community where they can talk openly about their lack of religion. We welcome people of all beliefs to attend our meetings and join our group. Free thinking and discussion is a core part of SSA and no topic is off limits. Dissent is also an important part of SSA and debate is welcomed on any and all issues.  If you are a Secular Humanist, a free thinker, atheist or agnostic, questioning your faith, or you even identify with a religion, please don't hesitate to attend one of our meetings, they are held every Wednesday starting at 8:30 in the HUB Knowlton room.
