Division of Enrollment Management and Communications

The declining number of high school graduates in Pennsylvania presents a significant challenge to IUP. Maintaining or increasing enrollment is crucial to the financial health of the university and to maintaining our historic status as the largest university within PASSHE.

The Division of Enrollment Management and Communications includes the offices of Admissions, Career and Professional Development, Culinary Arts Admissions, Communications and Marketing, Financial Aid, and Media Relations, plus Continuing Education.

These departments together represent the full continuum of enrollment management, from recruitment, matriculation, retention, and graduation through the pursuit of professional goals and recognizes the critical linkages among enrollment, integrated marketing, communications, and the university’s image, both internally and externally.

IUP offers students the best of both worlds: a comprehensive university offering a range of programs and opportunities, and a small, intimate school where you’ll get to know your professors and classmates.
Continuing Education
The Office of Continuing Education at IUP serves the lifelong educational needs of a variety of students through distance education, credit, and noncredit programs.
Career and Professional Development
The Career and Professional Development Center teaches students, by providing coaching and support, how to become active participants in their own continuing career development.
Communications and Marketing
The Communications and Marketing Office uses its expertise in various communications specialties to assist with delivering messages to audiences using best practices and strategies.
Media Relations
The Office of Media Relations is responsible for all internal and external media placements and media relations for the IUP community, except for athletic information, which comes from the Sports Information Office.
MyIUP Portal Project
MyIUP, a new web portal coming in 2013, will give students, faculty, and staff single sign-on to many web-based campus tools as well as customized content.
