Film Series on Gender Representation and Feminism: “Into the Woods”

Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Rm. 225

The English Graduate Student Film Series begins on September 28 and will screen a variety of film and TV shows, with a focus on gender representations and feminism within those films/TV shows, on select Wednesdays throughout the semester.

The first screening of the Netflix series Black Mirror will be on September 28, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in HSS 225.

This is a great opportunity for students and faculty to watch some great films and TV episodes, and to participate in lively discussions about how gender is represented in visual media. Undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty are all welcome!

Attendance vouchers will be available. The additional screenings (all from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in HSS 225) are:

  • October 12: Coraline
  • October 26: Labyrinth
  • November 9: Agent Carter
  • December 7: Into the Woods
