The Graduate Society for Human Resource Management is sponsoring a Hai Tee Shirt Day on February 12, 2010. The shirts will be on sale at the HUB fitness center February 4–12. The entire campus community is invited to wear this shirt February 12 to remember those lost in the earthquake that struck Haiti and to support efforts to rebuild Haiti.

The Employment and Labor Relations Department has been contacted about a Labor Relations Professional position with APSCUF, the higher education faculty union.

The Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration is a collaborative program cotaught by the departments of Employment and Labor Relations and Nursing and Allied Health Professions at IUP. Open houses will be held at the Monroeville site of IUP on November 4, 12, and 18, 2009, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The Department of Industrial and Labor Relations recognized its 2009 graduates during a celebration at Foster Hall on the IUP campus on May 3, 2009, prior to the main commencement ceremony.

Beginning with the Summer 2009 semester, the Industrial and Labor Relations Department will change its name to the Department of Employment and Labor Relations.
