The 35th annual Labor-Management Conference, hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Employment and Labor Relations (ELR), will take place on Friday, April 8, 2016. The conference theme is “Achieving a Competitive Edge in 2016: Fresh Perspectives on Human Resource
Challenges.” This conference has a distinguished history of providing in-the-moment updates related to employment issues in both private sector and public sector workplaces. Conference sessions will focus on recent, relevant court rulings, on legal/regulation changes, on both management and union rights,
and on emerging workplace challenges. In addition to presenters and panels of experts, each session will include active interaction between audience members and the panelists.
The 35th annual Labor-Management Conference will be held at the Rustic Lodge in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Preregistration will be available in early February 2016. The conference day will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast, and the
opening session opens at 8:00 a.m. Lunch is set for 12:00–1:00 p.m., and the afternoon sessions will conclude by 3:30 p.m. A hot buffet lunch will be provided to all full-day participants.
