It is my pleasure to welcome you to IUP’s College of Education and Educational Technology (COE-ET). It is an exciting time for our college. We enjoy a strong reputation for providing leading-edge development and growth opportunities for students and professionals in education and allied fields as well as in the growing field of communication media.
Our programs lead to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. All teacher education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. Our counseling programs are accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Counseling and Related Education Programs. Students from our Communications Media program have won numerous awards, including the Telly, the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV programs.
We have a vibrant student body. Our students excel at running the IUP TV station and radio station. They are recognized for their achievements in student scholarship, internships, field experiences, and studying abroad.
Our faculty members are leaders in their field. They prize themselves on providing individualized coaching and feedback, because they know it is a key to guiding student learning. But more than that: because of their high-quality scholarship, service, and dedication to the classroom, our faculty are known for inspiring student learning.
