Yerger is an associate professor in the Department of Economics. He has been a member of the Department of Economics since 2002.
David Yerger has been a tenure-track assistant professor at IUP since fall 2002. He has served as an APSCUF representative on the University Planning Council (UPC), chair of the Systems Accountability Committee of the UPC, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences representative on the universitywide Economic Development Council, and department representative to the University Senate. He has served on the Department New Faculty Search Committee, the Department Curriculum Committee, and as the department pre-law advisor. He has been interviewed several times by local newspaper and television news reporters regarding energy market issues, and he completed an “Expert Witness” report regarding environmental impacts of a proposed landfill adjacent to McConnell’s Mills State Park. He has served as board of directors member of the Pennsylvania Economic Association and as president and vice president–Membership of PEA. Additionally, he has served as editor of the Pennsylvania Economic Review for PEA and as member of the editorial board of the Annual Editions Microeconomics.
