Economist Vick and Anthropologist Poole Team Up to Win Appalachian Teaching Project Grant

Brandon Vick and Amanda Poole, both members of the IUP Center for Northern Appalachian Studies, teamed up to propose an ATP project and were awarded a $4,500 grant in July for a project that includes opportunities for student researchers.

Award-winning Economics Undergraduate Research Presented at Conference

A research paper by economics alumni Jessica Black and Savanna Bonds, “Dropping Out of High School: An Analysis of Pennsylvania Counties,” won the Best Undergraduate Student Paper award at the 2015 Pennsylvania Economic Association Conference, marking the fourth time in the last five years that IUP economics majors have won the award.

Jozefowicz and Economics Alumnus Nelson Publish on County Crime Rates in Pennsylvania
