The mission of the Center for E-Commerce and Technology Support is as follows:
- To provide e-commerce and information technology support to businesses and nonprofit organizations in our market area
- To provide education and training in e-commerce and information technology management
- To become a regional center for research in e-commerce and information technology
Programs and services offered include the following:
- Business and industry seminar series in e-commerce and information technology management
- Consulting projects for businesses in the design and implementation of e-commerce projects
- Certificate programs in e-commerce and internetworking technology
- Research databases on e-commerce-related statistics in our market area
Program areas for the Center for E-Commerce and Technology Support are website management, electronic catalogs, automated business processes, secure electronic payments, distributed transaction processing, Web-based order fulfillment, electronic retail storefront, data mining and analysis, networking, distributed databases, computer and network security, and multimedia in the Web.
