On Saturday, March 6, 2010, IUP at Punxsutawney will host the “Celebrate Local” Wine Tasting and Silent Auction. The fundraising event will celebrate wines from local wineries, including Windgate Vineyards and Winery in Smicksburg, Evergreen Valley Winery in Luthersburg, the Winery at Wilcox in Wilcox, Walnut Hill Winery in Blairsville, and Starr Hill Winery in Curwensville.

Terry R. Carter has been selected as vice president for University Relations and executive director of the Foundation for IUP. Carter, who will begin January 1, 2010, has more than thirty-four years of experience in fundraising, development, and advancement.
