The Generation Google Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2024–25 academic year, with an award of $10,000 for students studying in the United States. The scholarship will be awarded based on a student's commitment to diversity, demonstrated leadership, and academic performance.

Scholarship Summary

Eligibility

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's program at an accredited university or college or be currently enrolled as a high school senior for the 2023–24 academic year
  • Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a bachelor's program at an accredited university in the United States or Canada for the 2024–25 academic year
  • Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology

How to Apply

Complete the online application by April 23, 2024. The application requires the following:

  • General background information (e.g., contact information and details about your current and intended universities)
  • Family and household information
  • Résumé/CV
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Academic transcripts from your current institution (and prior, if applicable)
  • Responses to short answer essay questions.
