All continuing students (non-transfers and non-freshmen for Fall 2002) have the opportunity to choose the old or new curriculum. Advisors will be given curriculum-choice forms for the students to fill out when they register for the Spring semester. For those students who choose to stay with the old curriculum, the following substitutions will apply.
COSC 210 or COSC 281 (OO Programming) will be counted as a controlled elective.
The four-credit COSC 220 is required; then, follow the guidelines above or change to the new curriculum. Taking the four-credit COSC 220 will probably lead to these students having more than the required number of Computer Science credits.
Any student who has taken three-credit COSC 220 is required to take an additional credit of controlled or upper-elective courses to reach the new Computer Science credit requirement. (This will probably mean taking three credits, not one.)
