Joshua Waibel attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2005 to 2009. While going to school, he interned with PNC Financial Service Group on four different occasions. He completed his first internship as a software engineer for the Customer Information File (CIF) team. Later that year, he returned to CIF as a business analyst. Joshua returned to PNC for a third internship as a security analyst. Finally, he interned a fourth time to work in Operations, Internal System Support, fulfilling several roles, including project manager.
As an undergraduate, he was named vice president and then president of the Information Assurance Club in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Josh graduated summa cum laude with a 3.8 GPA from IUP in 2009. He obtained a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Criminology and a concentration in Information Assurance.
In 2010, he joined PNC full time as a software engineer. In 2011, he became a GIAC certified incident handler. Joshua is now a senior technology operation analyst in PNC Security Operations with responsibilities in event and incident management, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments, PKI, and threat intelligence.
