This month’s IUP Magazine Web Exclusive is the story of alumnus Scott McGuire, who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease) eleven years ago. When his fraternity brothers learned that Scott had ALS, they banded together to help him and his family. Scott's positive attitude and motivation continue to inspire them all.

Thanksgiving has traditionally been targeted as the close of IUP’s SECA campaign. The IUP task force encourages employees to make their donation or pledge to help those who are less fortunate.

John Simpson ’79, events/marketing manager for the six-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, will be a special guest at Thursday’s Black and Gold luncheon to benefit SECA. The event is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Folger’s Crimson Event Center.
