Spring Commencement for Undergraduate Students

    Graduating Students: RSVP Required for Commencement

    • Sign into MyIUP using your IUP network account.
    • Click the “Home” link.
    • In the “Graduation Preparation” section, click “RSVP for commencement ceremony.” (You'll see this option only if you've applied for the current semester graduation.)

    You are required to report to the Kovalchick Complex lobby to be directed to your appropriate line-up location. There are TWO ceremonies for undergraduates:

    • 9:00 a.m.—College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and College of Health and Human Services
      All undergraduate students should report to the lobby of Kovalchick Complex by 8:00 a.m. for the processional lineup, already wearing their graduation robes.

    • 2:00 p.m.—College of Education, College of Fine Arts, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Eberly College of Business and Information Technology
      All undergraduate students should report to the lobby of Kovalchick Complex by 1:00 p.m. for the processional lineup, already wearing their graduation robes.

  • Tickets are not needed for graduating students to attend commencement. However, guests of graduating students are required to have a ticket in order to be admitted to the Kovalchick Complex arena seating area. Here is full information about the ticketing procedure.

    Salute to Grads

    • Tuesday, April 4, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
    • Co-op Store
    • Purchase your cap and gown, order graduation announcements, and more at this event.

    Degree and Diploma Information

    If you have questions about whether you have met all degree requirements, please contact your college associate dean’s office immediately. Degrees are awarded by your associate dean, and diplomas will be mailed four to six weeks after grades are posted.

    Caps, gowns, and announcements will be available at the Salute to Grads event or during regular business hours at the Co-op.

    Parking and Transportation Information

    Guests With Special Needs

    Kovalchick Complex has accommodations for handicapped parking and special needs seating. There is ADA-compliant seating for guests with special needs, along with elevator access. The ushers will direct your guest to the concourse level where this seating is available.
