Minor in Chemistry

    The minor in chemistry is designed for students who desire a background in chemistry, in conjunction with degrees such as environmental science, health sciences, geology, business, or one of the social sciences.

    The minor consists of 20 credit hours of introductory and upper-level courses.

    Required Introductory Courses (8 credits):

    • CHEM 111 General Chemistry I
    • CHEM 112 General Chemistry II

    Upper-Level Elective Courses (12 credits from the following list):

    • CHEM 231 Organic Chemistry I
    • CHEM 232 Organic Chemistry II
    • One chemistry elective from CHEM 321, CHEM 323, or CHEM 351
