Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out about chemistry internships and other related summer opportunities?

Currently, you can subscribe to a departmental email list (contact Dr. McElroy). When new information arrives in the department, you'll be notified immediately!  Soon, we will introduce a webpage where all of that information will be shared and archived. You may also check out the department blog to see what recent opportunities exist.

Is there tutoring available for chemistry classes?

Yes!  The students of the American Chemical Society (ACS) club hold tutoring for undergraduate courses in chemistry (e.g., SCI-106, CHEM-101/102, CHEM-111/112, CHEM-113/114, CHEM-231/232, etc.) during the semester in Weyandt 128.  Tutoring hours are Monday through Thursday from 7- to 8 p.m.

For larger service courses, such as CHEM-101/102, there are also special help services available in Pratt Hall.
