The Center for Career and Technical Personnel Preparation offers professional certificate and degree programs that prepare career and technical teachers and administrators to receive required state certifications.
In Pennsylvania, candidates receive vocational professional certification by completing an approved education program offered through one of three regional Professional Personnel Development centers. The centers are located at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Penn State University, and Temple University. They are each approved and funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to provide services to certification candidates in their region. IUP’s service region is Western Pennsylvania.
