Our goal is to help students to become more confident in their professional development and networking abilities so they can make informed decisions about graduate schools and career opportunities.

Off Campus

WestPACS Job and Internship Fair - Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Make your time off during spring break count! The WestPACS Job Fair is the largest job fair in the Pittsburgh area and will be held at the Monroeville Convention Center from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Business attired is required at the WestPACS fair. Candidates not dressed in business attire will be turned away. Attend for free if registered before 11:59 p.m. on March 9, 2015. After March 9th, candidates will pay a $10 walk-in fee.

PERC - Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium - Wednesday, March 25, 2015, Monroeville Convention Center, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The PERC education job fair is a well-respected regional and national recruitment event. Representatives include employers of certified teachers from Pennsylvania, many other states across the U.S., and some international employers. Participating employers interview and hire teacher candidates in all Pre K-12 disciplines as well as related certification areas such as counseling, therapies and administration.

IUP CareerConnect!

Built from the ground up by career services professionals, IUP CareerConnect, powered by Symplicity, enhances how information is shared and processed both within IUP and between our students and employers.

Although we’re still finalizing the full launch of the system, students, alumni, employers, and faculty/staff can now log in. Students will use the single sign-on they use when logging in to campus computers; alumni, employers, and faculty/staff will be required to complete a new user registration.

Drop-in Résumé Reviews – Fall and Spring Semesters

The Career and Professional Development Center hosts Drop-In Résumé Reviews every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00–6:30 p.m. in Pratt 302 during the fall and spring semesters. Trained career coaches will be available to critique your résumé, so bring a draft copy and learn how to create a good résumé!

Employers, faculty, and staff are encouraged to join the  Career and Professional Development Center on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex for the  IUP Employer Relations DayRegistration is now open!
