An exhibition by emerging contemporary artist, Nina Barbuto. Miss Barbuto is an installation artist, architect and sculptor from Pittsburgh. She is co-founder of the "I-Made-It Market" and founder of Garfield's Assemble Gallery. Note: There will be an Artist Talk on November 27th at 5:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Free Admission. Colorful commentaries on contemporary life through paintings, portraits and bas reliefs. Exhibit runs from November 3 through December 8, 2012. The IUP Symphony Orchestra and IUP Choirs perform, under the direction of Stanley Chepaitis and Ryan Beeken. The evening will include Haydn's Missa Sancti Nicolai, a Mass written for St. Nicholas Day, the sixth of December of 1772. General Admission ticket prices are: $9 Regular, $8 Discount, and $6 I-Card. Tickets available at the door for $5.00 - A new dramatic work about David Livingstone, the celebrated Victorian abolitionist, missionary, and explorer of Africa. The production examines the intricacies of David Livingstone's life through a dramatic interplay of historical text, movement, song, and dance. The project is part of the international events being organized this year and next to mark the Livingstone bicentenary. The script for the work has been devised and directed by IUP Theater faculty member Jeannie-Marie Brown, and is based on research by IUP English faculty member Adrian Wisnicki. NOTE: This play contains adult content, issues, language, and situations to which some audience members may object and is not suitable for children.
