Pratt 302
The Career Development Center provides practice employment interviews in a simulated office environment for a small fee. The interview allows you to practice several behaviors such as answering tough interview questions smoothly, how to dress for an interview, recognizing body language, and practicing manners and eye contact. The interviews are recorded onto a DVD so that visual feedback can be provided during the interview session. Mock interviews are conducted Monday through Friday during the semester and may be scheduled by visiting the Career Development Center in Pratt 302. Once an appointment is scheduled, a résumé, cover letter, and job posting must be submitted at least two business days before the scheduled interview.

Recruiters from Amazon Fulfillment, an organization built on the principles of merit, will be in Pratt 305 from 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, to tell students about their organization and the benefits of a career with Amazon. Amazon tries to promote the right people and the right leaders into the right positions. They are looking for talented people who are looking to grow with us and make a fast and exciting career.

HUB Ohio Room
An opportunity for students to meet with employers who are hiring for summer, part-time, temporary, and internship positions.
12:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
At the Municipal Intern Fair, undergraduate and graduate students will be able to meet with representatives from 15 communities who have paid internships available this summer through Local Government Academy's Municipal Intern Program. Through the program, students will work full-time for 12 weeks during the summer (May-August), earning between $9 and $11 per hour. In order to qualify for an internship, you must be student whose education will be continuing the following semeser/term/year. If your education will not continue the following semester/term/year, then your expected graduation date has to be AFTER August 2013.
Free transportation from IUP is provided for the WestPACS Job Fair, but space is limited. Sign up by coming to 302 Pratt Hall by noon on March 8, 2013. A deposit of $25 (checks made out to IUP preferred, cash accepted) will be required to reserve your space on the bus, and your deposit will be returned to you on the trip back to Indiana. The bus will begin boarding at 8:30 a.m. on March 13 and will be leaving promptly at 8:45 a.m. from the HUB Co-Op Book Store entrance.

WestPACS sponsors two premier Collegiate Job & Internship Fairs each year for college students, graduates, and mid-career professionals. The Western PA Collegiate Job and Internship Fair provides students with many different opportunities.

When it comes to job hunting, whom you know is often as important as what you know, so please join IUP alumni for one of the upcoming "IUP Night for Networking" event in Washington, D.C. Join fellow IUP alumni and special guests IUP President Michael Driscoll and vice president for university advancement Bill Speidel at an exclusive career networking reception in Washington D.C. Appetizers and soft drinks will be provided free of charge, and a cash bar will be available.

Crimson Event Center/Folger Dining Hall
The Criminology and Government Career Fair is an opportunity for students to explore different careers that are related to criminology/government, and is an opportunity for employers to recruit future employees or interns. More than 275 students attend this fair each year. Most are seniors preparing to find a career, while the remaining students are exploring career opportunities for their future. This event is also open to the students of the Criminal Justice Training Center.

Homeland Secuirty Career Networking Event 12:00 p.m. | Student Union Building Lodge Learn about career opportunities from, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs & Border Protection, US Secret Service, and Federal Air Marshals. No just for AOJ majors. Free lunch provided.

The Career Development Center offers two business etiquette dinners each semester. These are formal dinners where students have the opportunity to interact with peers, colleagues, and professionals to practice good business etiquette.
