Gallery Exchange: MFA Exhibits

Kipp Gallery Annex

The MFA students of IUP and Edinboro University are participating in a gallery exchange. This exhibition is work from Edinboro graduate students and will be on display from March 4 to 15. Kipp Annex hours are Tuesdays-Fridays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. An opening reception for this installation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m. Free Admission.

Exhibit: In Sisterhood and Bridge Builders

University Museum, Sutton Hall

Concurrent multimedia exhibitions illustrating the rise of movements for equal gender and racial rights in politics, labor organizations, and civic life. Exhibit runs from February 2 through March 16, 2013. Museum Hours: Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m.; Thursdays from noon to 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays from noon to 4:00 p.m.; Closed on Sundays, Mondays and holidays. Exhibit: "Promise Land" by Chele Isaac

Kipp Gallery, Sprowls Hall

This exhibit features the work of Wisconsin-based artist Chele Isaac, which utilizes multi-channel video projections, sound, and sculpture to examine themes of migration, dislocation, and the search for identity. The exhibit will run February 21-March 21, 2013. Dates are subject to change. The Kipp Gallery is located in Sprowls Hall. Weekly gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4:00 p.m. (NOTE: This exhibit replaces the previously scheduled exhibit by Natalie Settles.)

Tickets on Sale: Temptation of the Muses and "Lysistrata"

Temptation of the Muses will be performed on Thursday, April 25, at 8:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium. Reserved Seating ticket prices are $23 Regular, $18 Discount and $12 with an I-Card. "Lysistrata" will be performed on the Waller Hall Mainstage from April 25-28 and May 1-4. General Admission seating ticket prices are $14 Regular, $12 Discount, and $8 with an I-Card.

Art Lecture: Vicky Clark

Sprowls Hall, Room 118-A

Presented by the Graduate Art Association, this event is free and open to the public. Dr. Vicky Clark is the Art Gallery Director and art historian at Clarion University, and has been a curator, writer and teacher for more than 30 years. Most of her more than 50 group and one-artist exhibitions are concept-based and idea-oriented. She is the author of two books about major exhibitions in Pittsburgh, and is working on a third book regarding Pittsburgh artist Robert Qualters.
