1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. | Waller Hall Mainstage Conceived, written and directed by NYU graduate student and IUP alumnus Joe York, comes "Frank n' Fluff," a heartwarming tale about a boy and his quest for friendship. After unexpectedly losing his favorite stuffed animal, young Frank harnesses his sewing skills to create the ultimate best friend with the parts of his other toys. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Fluff gets out, Frank's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all band together to stop the walking and talking creation. Directed by Sharen Camille, with music and lyrics by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, and book by Hugh Wheeler, "Meet Me in St. Louis" is an optimistic musical about the Smith family in 1904 St. Louis. Their life is wonderful - the World Fair is about to begin and love is in the air - however, this happy world crumbles when Mr. Smith runs into financial trouble and announces that the family will have to move to New York. Come join Footlight Players' production as we follow the Smiths and learn if they leave for the Big Apple or stay in their beloved St. Louis. This time, the middle-school tycoon stumbles onto a money-making bonanza: pet funerals for kids. Business goes through the roof, until Ernie loses his best friend in the world and the whole venture unravels. This is a special comedy about business, friendships, loss and how we learn to express our feelings.
