Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Study of Labor Relations, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Bureau of PENNSAFE, is sponsoring a half-day Recertification Training for Workers’ Compensation Safety Committees to be held at two locations: Thursday, November 19, 2009 (Blairsville, PA) and Thursday, December 3, 2009 (Duncansville, PA). This annual training is designed for all companies (individually insured, group insured and self-insured) and satisfies one of the main requirements of the state’s Safety Committee Workers’ Compensation Discount Program, leading to a 5 percent discount on companies’ workers’ compensation insurance premiums. This conference also offers the opportunity for those companies that are not currently certified to learn how to complete the necessary documentation for the certification process.
