Our part-time, evening program is designed to meet the needs of you and other working professionals so that you can earn your MBA degree without interrupting your career. With a theme of “strategic decision making in a changing global environment,” the MBA—Executive Track program is designed to enhance your analytical, managerial, and decision-making skills.

Program Features

Program features include the following:

  • Take an AACSB-International accredited program.
  • Complete your program in two years (six semesters) by taking classes Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Butler County Community College.
  • Receive individual attention from doctoral-level IUP faculty members who have extensive professional and academic experience in their areas of expertise.
  • Take your courses with students from various educational and professional backgrounds, including engineering, liberal arts, business, medicine, education, health care, law, and social science.
  • Experience a cohort format, through which you will build and maintain a supportive professional and academic network by moving through your sequence of classes as a group.
  • Pay cost-effective tuition: $370 per graduate credit (2009–2010 academic year) for Pennsylvania residents.


The MBA program utilizes a cohort format, meaning admitted students begin this 36-credit program as a group and take all coursework together for six semesters, including summer sessions.

Students must have completed prerequisite courses in Statistics, Economics, Finance, and Financial Accounting or their equivalents before taking related courses in the MBA program. IUP is accepting applications for Spring (January) 2010 admission consideration.
Applicants must submit the following to IUP’s School of Graduate Studies and Research:

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Signed and dated statement of career and academic goals
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • $40 application fee (nonrefundable).
