Four Teams Pitch at IUP Business School Shark Tank Event

IUP ExcEL Center hosted IUP’s third annual Shark Tank event on April 21. This is one of three business plan competitions available for IUP students to develop their entrepreneurial ideas, sharpen their presentation skills, and compete for prize money to support their projects.

IUP Business School Holds Successful 38th Annual Business Day

As part of Eberly’s 38th annual Business Day, students had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and to network with nearly 60 alumni and other business leaders at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. The April 7, 2016, event included four sessions, with more than 700 students, business leaders, faculty, administrators, and staff.

Over the weekend, from April 14–16, 2016, the IUP Student Marketing Association was fortunate enough to have sent 22 members to New York City for a professional development trip cosponsored between Eberly and the SMA students.

IUP Business School Hosts CEO Jeffrey Gaus ’81

On March 23 and 24, the IUP Eberly College of Business and Information Technology hosted Jeffrey Gaus ’81 as the executive/entrepreneur-in-residence. Gaus serves as chief executive officer at Prolifiq Software Inc.

IUP Business Students Go Abroad, Virtually

Students in John Lipinski’s Introduction to Entrepreneurship class regularly link up with classmates more than 4,000 miles away. Along with Kia Golesorkhi, from the University of Pecs, in Pecs, Hungary, the two professors link their classes to deliver joint lectures, share guest speakers, and encourage student interaction.
