The mission of the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology is to serve as a resource to business and industry. As a member of the Management Services Group, the Business Development and Training Services Department helps to facilitate this mission by participating as an educational partner with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide employers with grant monies for training new and existing employees.
In today’s global economy, it is essential for companies to maintain the highest quality, standards, and employee performance. This can be accomplished through the Workforce and Economic Development Network Guaranteed Free Training (WEDnetPA) program and the Customized Job Training (CJT) program. Both provide millions of training dollars every year to qualified companies.
Why partner with IUP for Workforce Education?
IUP has been an educational partner with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1999. During that time we have secured $10.5 million in training funds for business and industry under the WEDnetPA Guaranteed Free Training program and the Customized Job Training program.
A partnership with IUP’s Business Development and Training Services Department will help employers to plan and achieve training goals. With this partnership, companies can create training plans, access various training services, and apply for grant funding for reimbursement of training costs. IUP provides start-to-finish assistance in securing grants. We handle all grant application and administrative services.
