You could be at a disadvantage in today’s competitive business environment if your academic training was outside the field of business, or if your business training was in the distant past. In today’s economic climate, it is necessary to understand the concepts and techniques that are essential for effective management in all types of business and industry.

The noncredit Mini MBA Certificate Program offered by the IUP Eberly College of Business and Information Technology will help you become a more effective manager. Faculty experts from the Eberly College will provide a comprehensive overview of each discipline along with the latest management theory. In addition, the faculty will assist you in developing team building and problem solving skills that will provide you with an edge in today’s competitive environment. Participants are not required to have formal business education or previously earned a college degree.

Our Mini MBA Certificate Program can be customized to meet the specific needs of your organization. The Mini MBA Certificate Program is a 60-hour program comprised of 10 sessions:

  • Lean Management/Operations
  • Strategic Management
  • Legal Environment

This program will provide you with a basic knowledge about all the functional areas of business and with critical skills that will enhance your success in today’s dynamic business environment.

Fall 2014 Mini MBA Certificate ProgramIUP at Northpointe

Registration is open

  • Dates: 10 consecutive Tuesdays beginning Sept. 9, ending Nov. 11, 2014
  • Time: 3:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. (A catered dinner is provided each week)
  • Location: IUP at Northpointe, located immediately off Rte. 28 at exit 18
  • Registration Deadline: Friday, August 22, 2014
  • Cost: $1,500 maximum per person (could be as low as $1,000 per person depending on the number of registrations). The more that register—the less the cost per person.  
  • Deposit: $500 deposit required with registration (nonrefundable deposit). If the program would be cancelled due to lack of enrollment, full refunds will be processed.
  • Billing: You will be billed via e-mail for the balance due (program cost minus deposit) on or about Monday, August 25, with the balance due by Friday, September 5, 2014.
  • To register: Visit the IUP Research Institute MarketPlace Conferences and Workshops store for the Mini MBA Certificate Program registration options. Select from two options: single registration (one person), double registration (two persons). If you want to register more than two people, you will need to complete additional online registrations.
  • Accepted Online Methods of Payment: VISA, AmEx, Discover, MasterCard

The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute on the quality of the program. It means that this program has met the HR Certification Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.
