Mini MBA Program

  • If your academic training was outside the field of business or if your business training was in the distant past, you would benefit from this program. In today’s economic climate, it is necessary to understand the concepts and techniques that are essential for effective management in all types of business and industry.

    The noncredit Mini MBA Program offered by the IUP Eberly College of Business and Information Technology will help you become a more effective manager. Faculty experts from the Eberly College will provide a comprehensive overview of each discipline along with the latest management theory. In addition, the faculty will assist you in developing team building and problem solving skills that will provide you with an edge in today’s competitive environment. Participants are not required to have formal business education or previously earned a college degree.

    Our Mini MBA Program can be customized to meet the specific needs of your organization. The Mini MBA Program is a 60-hour program comprised of 10 sessions:

    • Organizational Theory
    • Human Resource Management
    • Accounting Concepts for Decision Makers
    • Marketing Management
    • Strategic Communication
    • Quality Management
    • E-Commerce
    • Lean Management/Operations
    • Strategic Management
    • Legal Environment

    This program will provide you with a basic knowledge about all the functional areas of business and with critical skills that will enhance your success in today’s dynamic business environment.

    Program Dates: September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, and 14, 2017
    Cost:

    • $1,100 if paid on or before August 15: UPDATE — Rate eligible through August 22
    • $1,200 if paid after August 15: UPDATE — Rate applied on and after August 23
    • 10 percent company discount: for five or more employees registered from the same company

    "The use of this seal confirms that this activity has met HR Certification Institute's® (HRCI®) criteria for recertification credit pre-approval."  Participants who complete the program (all sessions) will receive 60 recertification credits.
