WEDnetPA is designed to help employers with the training of their employees. The two types of eligible training grants are Essential Skills (formerly Basic Skills) training and Advanced Technology (formerly Information Technology) training.
Manufacturers and technology businesses are eligible for Essential Skills training grants. ES training provides up to $450 per eligible employee for essential skills training. Some examples include, but are not limited to:
AT training provides up to $850 per eligible employee. Some examples include, but are not limited to:
Eligibility must be met on three levels: company (employer), employee, and training.

You begin with in inquiry. An inquiry provides the WEDnetPA partner with the company information needed to determine eligibility.
The application process begins when company eligibility has been determined and the inquiry reviewed by your WEDnetPA partner. The application is a simple three-step process. Log in to ISAAC to begin.
Your WEDnetPA partner will provide you with instructions for each of these steps. One application should be submitted for each type of grant for which you plan to seek funding.
As each reviewed training event on your training plan is completed, you will invoice for reimbursement by creating and submitting an invoice against the training event in ISAAC. You will receive reimbursement for your submitted invoice from your WEDnetPA Partner institution in approximately three to four weeks. Detailed invoicing instructions will be provided when grant contracts are awarded.
Qualified companies can arrange for instructional training in several ways. IUP can provide qualified trainers and instructors (partner-provided training). Many employers use in-house trainers (in-house training provided by a company employee), and others use third-party training professionals who may be experienced in a specific training area.
Training can be done onsite at the company, at a seminar, conference, online, etc. Companies select the instructional training methods and training providers to provide the most effective training for their employees.
