    About the Program

    What types of skills training are covered under WEDnetPA?

    WEDnetPA helps employers train their employees. The two types of eligible grants are for Essential Skills (formerly Basic Skills) training and Advanced Technology (formerly Information Technology) training. 

    Essential Skills (ES) Training 

    Business OperationsManufacturers, primary hospitals, and technology businesses are eligible for Essential Skills training grants  up to $450 per eligible employee.

    Manufacturing TechnologyManufacturers and others are eligible for Advanced Technology Skills training grants including computer programming, network administration, and advanced machine operations training up to $850 per eligible employee.

    Types of Instructional Training

    Employers can seek out the training best-suited for their needs.

    Training can be provided via:

    • Any third-party training provider
    • The company's own in-house staff
    • Online

    Online training offers you more training options. 

    Employees can train at their convenience--at work, at home or on the road.
