Form 1098T is used as a guide in the preparation of your taxes. Its purpose is to assist you in determining your eligibility for an education tax credit.
IUP is partnering with ESCI to produce the 1098T forms beginning with the 2012 tax year. Students can opt to receive their form electronically. If you do not request your form to be delivered electronically, one will automatically be mailed to the address you have on file in MyIUP. You will still be able to retrieve any 1098T information from 2011 and prior by logging into MyIUP.
ESCI will be the third-party company that will be processing all 1098T tax forms starting with the 2012 tax year. You may opt to have the form processed electronically by going to ECSI Electronic Consent. Please note that, once the forms have been processed by ECSI (in mid-January), you will no longer be able to request the online form. Students will receive an e-mail notice with login information and instructions on how to retrieve the form after processing is completed. The IUP school code for ESCI tax purposes only is 10.
If a student does not complete the information to receive the form electronically, one will automatically be mailed by January 31 of the following year.
