Troop 11 was chartered by Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 1972 to promote the goals and ideals of the Boy Scouts of America for the youth of the Indiana area and the students of IUP. Association with IUP is not required for membership. The troop is currently sponsored by the Foundation for IUP.
