Welcome to the home page for the annual SEEDS Club Community Seed Swap. The purpose of this seed swap is to connect the students of IUP’s campus with the surrounding community through seeds and the stories that come with them. This is a great opportunity for all to learn about the present community of Indiana, while learning about its history and simultaneously helping to shape its future.
No seeds are needed to participate! Bring your family and friends. Kids’ activities, guest speaker, and more. No GMO or hybrid seeds, please.
If you are bringing seeds, please review these guidelines for participation prior to the swap.

Our 2015 speaker was Ed Donley of the IUP Mathematics Department on “Growing your Own Wildflowers.”
Donley discussed the benefits of gardening with native plants and the importance of maintaining heirloom varieties of food crops and ornamental flowers. Seeds swaps are a great way to acquire new wildflower seeds and heirloom garden seeds. He described the techniques required to grow your own native plants from seeds, based on his experience in transforming his Indiana County property to a native plant habitat.
